If you’re like me, you’ve skipped sending Christmas cards more than once because you didn’t have a decent family photo to use. But these days, there are plenty of photo ideas for Christmas cards that work just as well, if not better than, the family portrait. Many cards now have room for several photos, which takes the pressure off finding one perfect photo and gives you an opportunity to get creative.
You can pick one great photo of each member of your family, close-up or candid. Some cards even have space to write about each photo, so you can say a little about what each person has been up to.
You can show a series of photos from the a vacation to highlight some of your family adventures, or from a wedding or graduation where you all were gathered.
A Christmas letter doesn’t have to be boring, and this Featured Favorite is a great example. April, Ava, and Nico wanted to share pictures from their trip and were looking for creative Christmas card ideas that would hold lots of photos and room for their story.
April, says, “We had been planning this trip of a lifetime for over a year. I knew that I would be using the photos from this trip for our family Christmas card. Last year I received a card that really stood out. I made sure to set it aside as I knew I wanted to use the same company, Pear Tree Greetings, for my 2012 card.”
