Grandma Cards

So I showed my mom my new Mommy Cards from Pear Tree Greetings and she immediately said that SHE wanted some! No, not to feature me and my brother..she's so over us. Who else to feature than her two grandchildren! She was so excited and already has her favorite picture of the two of them picked out.

Thinking about it now, it makes sense. My mom could talk for hours about her grandchildren. So why wouldn't she want a little card to hand out to family and friends featuring a photo of the kids and links to our family blogs so the person she's talking to can see more pictures. Whether they will or not...it sure is a great opportunity for my mom to share how proud she is of her grandchildren!

This is the one my mom picked out. I think it's the perfect design as it has a full size photo and enough room to list both kids' names and two blog addresses...and it could fit even more! Plus, it's gender neutral.

Graduation - Capturing the Memories

Graduation is the culmination of not just three or four years of high school or even middle school and elementary school before that. It is a celebration of the effort you have put into developing into the person you have become. It is an acknowledgment of all the wonderful friendships you've created along the way, with your fellow students as well as your teachers and coaches. It is the bridge between the world of childhood and adulthood. So the events and time that lead up to your graduation are just as important as the ceremony itself. And you will want to make sure that you capture these memories perfectly.

Some ideas on how to do that...

Most obvious one is to keep your camera handy, as I bet most of you or your kids already do. The candid moments in the hallway or after practice will be the ones you cherish the most...and miss the most.

Create a scrapbook of all your friends' senior pictures. It'll be REALLY fun to look back on this in 5-10 years, trust me.

Have a favorite photo of you and your group of friends? Or a really great class picture? How about creating a photo mug with that photo? Now, I know. You might think "gifts for grandparents" when you think of a photo mug. But trust me...from my experience...the temperature control in dorms does not seem to be regulated and some late night hot chocolate might be just what you need. Especially in your super cool photo mug with your favorite photo on it.

Now, I have to admit. I've never really purchased photo gifts before. However, now I have two Grandma's that are absolutely obsessed about their grand-children.
