Recipe Spotlight -- Photo Thanksgiving Card

I just LOVE this card, the greeting card turned recipe card idea, the fact that it’s about food and I could go on and on. To me, Thanksgiving is about being thankful AND the food. You can’t deny it’s a lot about the food.

So do you have a signature dish that everyone anxiously awaits each Thanksgiving? Why not make their day and share it with them along with your best Thanksgiving wishes. They’ll be delighted! Plus, they can cut it down to be a perfect 4×6 recipe card!

Thanksgiving Turkey

My husband and I offered to host my mom’s side of the family for Thanksgiving this year. I’m really excited for everyone to see our new house and to see how Connor is growing…but I’m absolutely 100% nervous about supplying ‘the main course’….the turkey. Yes, it’s great, each family is in charge of a dish to pass so I don’t have anything to worry about (riiiiighhhht) except the turkey. However. The turkey scares me.

I’ve never cooked a turkey. But I’m sure in my lifetime I’ve complained about a turkey being too dry, or flavorless. I don’t want people to complain about my turkey.

In comes The Pioneer Woman to save the day. Not only does her Thanksgiving turkey look amazing…she shows a picture of almost every step of the way. This is exactly what I need. Reassurance that what I’m doing looks like it should. Genius.

So, I thought I would pass along this recipe today. I’ll be sure to post how it actually turns out :)

Step 1. Brine the turkey.

Step 2. Cook the turkey.

Step 3. Make gravy.

PS. Pear Tree Greetings is going to have a great offer for Black Friday and the rest of the weekend! Stay tuned!
